General Office Steps
-
Receive Requests – Participants call to request a ride. Put all details into CIVI, including address, date and time of appointment, and the expected length of appointment (place in description). In the Subject field - write where the request starts and ends. If all in Chatham, indicate "Chatham Local".
Note: Do not take same day or next day rides (including calls on Friday for Monday). -
Match Volunteer Drivers with Requests – Use call sheets, and CIVI to contact suitable drivers for each request.
-
Inform Participants Matched with a Driver – Make sure you call participants to let them know they have a ride. Make sure you have the information correct and there are no other notes for the driver.
-
Email the Driver – Email the drivers with details for their assigned ride request, and remind them to contact the participant a day or two before the assignment.
